In August 2012, Generator entered into a planning promotion agreement for 9 acres of greenfield land on the edge of the village envelope, previously in agricultural use. Through close monitoring of the local planning situation, an opportunity presented itself for a premature application of 75 units. As anticipated the application was refused, however our strategy was to assemble the necessary ammunition to be successful at appeal through accordance with central government policies. Having reviewed the inspectors decision notice, we saw an angle to increase the scheme to 105 units which was subsequently secured before the site was sold to a national house builder in November 2014.
