Futura Park

Generator made an unconditional purchase for 44 acres of brownfield land through a joint venture vehicle. There were significant contamination and technical issues to overcome with demolishment and remediation work before fully servicing the site.

The site was successfully promoted and planning was secured for a 70,000 sq ft retail unit pre-let to John Lewis Partnership for the UK’s first combined Waitrose and John Lewis at Home store. The site also comprises 60,000 sq ft of bulky goods retail warehouse space pre let to a host of national chains, Jaguar Land Rover and Audi Car showrooms and finally 19 acres of employment land. The total GDV of the entire park was worth in excess of £100m.
